The “Dubrovnik” is one of the most iconic sets in chess history, known for its elegant and functional design. It was designed and made for the international chess tournament in Dubrovnik, Yugoslavia (now Croatia), in 1950. This set was adopted by many top players, including the legendary Bobby Fischer, who described it as his favorite set. Fischer appreciated the beauty and functionality of the Dubrovnik, so much so that he owned several personal copies.
King size 95mm, base 44mm. Triple weighted and felted.
