The Albin Counter Gambit is suited to the attacking player as Black. The pawn sacrifice can be temporary and a clear refutation of the gambit has not been established. If White underestimates the possibilities he can be in difficulties against a better prepared opponent. This is a viable surprise weapon for the adventuresome player. Chess Master Schiller has organized the material so that it can be easily understood and used. The book is an excellent study of this very interesting opening system.
