Descrizione
Chess Champion of the World from 1894 to 1921, Emanuel Lasker is deservedly considered one of the greatest chess players who ever lived. This book, compiled and annotated by two other great names in chess world, includes many of Lasker’s finest games. The collection follows the early part of Lasker’s career, extending from 1889, when he won the Hauptturnier at Breslau, gaining the title of Master, to his defeat of Steinitz in 1894, when he became World Champion, and up through his victory at the St. Petersburg Tournament in 1914. All in all, there are 75 games, each fully annotated by Messrs. Reinfeld and Fine. These analyses have long been recognized as among the best annotations ever prepared, going into possible alternative lines of play in much more detail and with much more insight than is normally the case.
