Sicilian: Scheveningen Variation For Black - 2nd hand
Soltis Andrew
Descrizione
Perhaps the simplest and most flexible defensive system in the realm of 1-P-K4 is the Scheveningen Variation of the Sicilian. It is a difficult line to play as Black; just as hard to play against as White.
The difficulty stems from the variety of plans: either side has a choice of several different good-looking moves at just about every point in the opening; and the difference between a good-looking move and the right move is what makes an advantage in the Sicilian.
